Leaders in the Industry webinar series continues, February 8
The Center for Online Learning Career Services continues its presentation of the Leaders in the Industry webinar series. This series of interactive webinars offers students the opportunity to explore career fields with today’s working professionals.
The next webinar is 
scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, at 7 p.m. and features Dr. Galo Alava, assistant professor of health care management at Saint Leo University.
Dr. Alava has been at Saint Leo University since 2004. He received his MD from the Universidad Central del Ecuador and earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix. His career includes a variety of medical and health care roles, including doctor, medical examiner, and health care product representative.
The field of health care has experienced many new trends, and health care leaders must embrace changes in regulations while also adapting to these trends. Corporations, hospitals, long-term health care facilities, private practices, and insurance companies are being forced to look at their patients and members as consumers, employing health care administrators to meet the challenging demands. Dr. Alava will present “Health Care Management: Future Opportunities in the Labor Market” to provide a realistic view of the changing environment and where you fit in.
