Donations for Baldomero Lopez State Veterans’ Nursing Home
This year the Registrar’s Office has adopted the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans’ Nursing Home in Land O’ Lakes, FL. The facility offers 120 beds for residents needing skilled nursing care or who have dementia/Alzheimer’s disease.
Please consider helping the Registrar’s Office with this project by offering donations of the following:
- Signed Christmas cards
- Neck pillows to help support residents’ necks while they are resting in their wheelchairs
- Quarters so residents can participate in Bingo games, allowing winners to apply their winnings to their own account, which they use during excursions to places like Walmart and McDonald’s
- $10 Walmart gift cards to help them feel a sense of independence during group outings
We would like to have all donations in the office by Thursday, December 22, so they can be delivered on Friday, December 23.
