0Haiti donation advisory from Bishop Lynch
The university anticipates that many people in our community will be concerned about the devastation in Haiti following Hurricane Matthew and may be wondering how to donate in the most effective manner possible.
Our own Bishop Robert N. Lynch of the Diocese of St. Petersburg announced a donation to Catholic Relief Services, which carries out relief work abroad and has received high ratings from charity reviewers. It is also important to know that CRS has been working in Haiti since 1954, knows the country, and positioned itself to begin Matthew recovery assistance as soon as possible. CRS can accept individual and group donations in several ways listed on its website.
Bishop Lynch explains more in his blog from Monday, October 10, about the response to this deadly storm.
