0Blood drive at University Campus, September 6
The Health and Wellness Center is sponsoring a blood drive at University Campus from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6. The mobile units will be located by the Dining Hall and appointments can be made at the One Blood website.
All donors will receive a T-shirt and a wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening.
There is no substitute for human blood. When you donate blood with OneBlood, you are making an immediate contribution to the health and welfare of your community. Blood is needed by trauma victims, cancer patients, premature babies, and patients facing planned and unplanned medical procedures. Your donation will help an ill or injured patient within a few days. The turnaround is that fast; the need is constant.
If you have any general questions about donating blood, please visit www.OneBlood.org. For more information about the blood drive, contact Terry Dadez, director of health services, at (352) 588-8347 or teresa.dadez@saintleo.edu.
