UTS software update: Symantec Antivirus and Encryption
University Technology Services (UTS) will be performing maintenance to upgrade the Symantic Antivirus (June 10) and Symantic Encryption (July 5) software.
Once the software is upgraded, the newer version will be automatically distributed to University workstations. When a workstation receives the software update, it will prompt for a reboot. It is not mandatory to reboot immediately, but please reboot at the next possible convenient time.
All University workstations should have the current version of Symantec Antivirus installed. A limited group of workstations also have the Symantec Encryption software. If the workstation has both the Antivirus and the Encryption software, you will be prompted to reboot for each instance.
