0Light It Up Blue—World Autism Awareness Day is Saturday, April 2
Each April, the international autism community celebrates Light It Up Blue, to benefit Autism Speaks, a leading autism science and advocacy organization. World Autism Awareness Day, celebrated annually on Saturday, April 2, was adopted by the United Nations in 2007 to shine a bright light on autism as growing global health crisis.
Autism Speaks is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. It is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
The front entrance towers at University Campus will be lit up in blue and a banner will be displayed on April 2 to show our support and to bring awareness of the disorder to our community.
