0Faculty and Staff Denim Day, Friday, March 4
Help support the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Up ’til Dawn campaign by making a donation that will permit you to wear work-appropriate jeans (with no rips or tears) on Friday, March 4. The suggested donation is a minimum of $5. Donations will be received by Student Affairs or Edson O’Neale.
The goal for the Up ’til Dawn program is to raise $20,000 this year. By reaching this goal, we can help give 46 patients platelet transfusions. During chemotherapy, the platelet count of patients can drop to dangerously low levels, so platelet transfusions are essential for treatment. By reaching this fundraising goal, it will also allow the future Saint Leo University Up ’til Dawn program the opportunity for its advisor and executive director to attend Collegiate Leadership Seminar, an annual leadership conference held at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
In the words of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital founder Danny Thomas, “Success has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It’s what you do for others.”
