Webinar to focus on changes in the human services sector

Join our undergraduate Human Services Program and Career Services educators as they co-host a live discussion panel: Adapting to Workforce Changes on Tuesday, April 6, at 6 p.m., on Zoom: https://saintleo.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJEkcOmtqj8qHdel3OUGp9jAm-8y2dZc1gxj

The panel will feature human services alumni: Mary Clark ’18, program manager at Eggelston Services in Norfolk, VA;  Khailiah Robinson ’15, ’17, workforce developer at St. Mary’s Community Center in Savannah, GA; and graduate program alumna Sandra Strange ’21, director of human resources at Sumter County Disability and Special Needs Board, in Sumter, SC.

These work settings represent a mix of non-profit agencies and local government, and they serve military veterans, seniors, families, and youth. Our alumni will discuss educational and career paths, and ways those paths must evolve in contemporary times, both during a pandemic, and beyond.

Those attending will have an opportunity to ask questions of our panelists and speak with faculty from our Human Services Program, Dr. Amina Abdullah and Dr. Michelle Boone-Thornton.

For more information, contact Dr. Amina Abdullah, chair of the undergraduate Human Services Program at (412) 229-7431; email amina.abdullah@saintleo.edu.
