Join in Christmas tree lighting, blessing of manger on November 18

Celebrate the season—just a little early this year! Everyone is invited to join in the annual Christmas tree lighting at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, at University Campus near the Student Activities Building.

Music will be provided by student soloists under the direction of Dr. Cynthia Selph, assistant professor of music, and members of the Music Ministry team.

Father Randall Meissen, university chaplain, will bless the university’s manger and Christmas tree, and then the lights will be turned on for everyone’s enjoyment.

Student Government Union President Ashley Butler will read from the Gospel of Luke, which will be followed by a prayer by Father Randall. Music Minister Lucas Nocera then will lead the Saint Leo community in Christmas carols.

Grab-and-go holiday treats will be provided. Everyone is asked to where a mask and follow safety protocols.
