Save the date for 2020 commencement ceremonies

Commencement is one of our university’s most prestigious events of the year. It signifies both the end and the beginning of important chapters in the lives of students and their families. For faculty and staff, commencement provides a moment to relish in their success.

Please note the schedule for this academic year:

  • One ceremony location for all Florida students (Key West will hold its own ceremony). All Saint Leo students in Florida will be invited to participate in a ceremony set to take place on Saturday, May 2, at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. This includes University Campus, education center, and online students. More details will be available closer to commencement.
  • Mass and reception to take place the day before commencement. Students and their families will be invited to come to University Campus on Friday, May 1, to attend the Baccalaureate Mass, which will be followed by a reception, Saint Leo Under the Stars. More details about these two events will be available closer to commencement.
  • Additional education center and online ceremonies set for April, May, and June. Seven ceremonies have been planned for online and center students in several central locations:
    • Key West, Florida – Saturday, April 18
    • San Diego, California – Tentative, Friday, May 8
    • Hampton, Virginia – Saturday, May 16
    • Corpus Christi, Texas – Friday, May 22
    • Sumter, South Carolina – Friday, May 29
    • Savannah, Georgia – Saturday, June 6
    • Atlanta, Georgia – June date still to be announced

The commencement application process is now open and several students have already started to apply. More information about commencement and the application process can be found at saintleo.edu/commencement.
