Join Literature for Lunch with poet Mary Biddinger, October 2

Mary Biddinger, the author of five full-length poetry collections, including Small Enterprise, and The Czar, will give a reading at Saint Leo’s Literature for Lunch series.

The reading will be held from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m., on Wednesday, October 2, in the Daniel A. Cannon Memorial Library. 

Biddinger’s sixth book, Partial Genius, will be published by Black Lawrence Press in August 2019. She has been the recipient of three Individual Excellence Awards in poetry from the Ohio Arts  Council, and received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in 2015. She is working on a new manuscript of small poems about ordinary things.

She teaches literature and creative writing at the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) program, and edits the Akron Series in Poetry for The University of Akron Press.

This event is presented by the Department of Language Studies and the Arts and is free and open to the public.
