UTS adding new security enhancements for email

Cyberattacks are growing in prominence each day. In 2017, the worst year-to-date for data breaches, the number of cyber incidents targeting businesses nearly doubled. 

In an effort to aid in spotting fraudulent emails, combat the increasing attacks through phishing emails, and better protect our user community, University Technology Services will be adding a small notification before the body of all incoming emails from outside our Saint Leo University organization. All internal communications will not receive the notification as it is seen as a “trusted” communication. This small reminder will help to spot fake and unsolicited emails.
