Saint Leo community unites to feed the hungry

Help fight hunger in your neighborhood! Through a massive collaborative event between University Campus and our education centers, the Saint Leo community is working together to feed the hungry during the holidays.

Non-perishable food items donated on University Campus will go to Atonement Lutheran Church, which feeds more than 250 families and gives away 10,000 pounds of food weekly. Education centers will be working with local food drives in their community.

University Campus drop-off locations will be located in the Student Affairs office (located in the Student Activities Building), and the Stephen Herrmann Mail Center. The drive will start Friday, October 29, and run until Thursday, November 8.

Here are some suggested non-perishable food items needed for donation:

  • Canned meat
  • Canned fruit
  • Peanut butter
  • Boxed cereal
  • Breakfast bars
  • Jelly/jam
  • Condiments
  • Rice
  • Bottled water
  • Soup
  • Pasta
  • Pasta sauce
  • Boxed Jell-O
  • Baby food/formula
