Black Box Theatre presents The 39 Steps

Are you ready to laugh until your sides hurt?

The Saint Leo Black Box Theatre kicks off its season with The 39 Steps, an adaptation by Patrick Barlow of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film. Mistaken identity, an international plot to steal military secrets, and a mysteriously reappearing woman collide with two clowns who play everything from a paperboy to a godfather-like professor to an old cleaning woman. The show is nonstop motion, laughter, and entertainment.

There will be six theatrical performances in September. The performances are planned for Friday, September 21, Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23, as well as Friday, September 28, Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30. The Friday and Saturday showtimes will start at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday matinees will start at 2 p.m.

The Black Box Theatre is on the ground floor of Benedictine Hall at Saint Leo University Campus. To reserve your seat, email StLeoTheatre@saintleo.edu. Admission is free, with a $10 suggested donation.
