The next webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, at 7 p.m. and features Chris Martinez ’08, senior law enforcement executive and higher education educator with more than 25 years of experience in government investigative, security, education, and financial operations. Currently teaching at City University of New York, he is a retired assistant special agent in charge for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and a former counterintelligence technician for the U.S. Army Reserves. Martinez is now working toward a PhD in homeland security.

HSI is the largest criminal investigative agency within the DHS, encompassing unique legal authorities, broad jurisdiction, and other complex divisions; its mission is to battle contemporary issues such as transnational cyber crime and terrorist organizations. He will provide great insight for those pursuing a career in homeland security, as well as anyone wanting to learn more about our nation’s security.
