The Saint Leo community sadly reports that Jean Patricia Peterson, widow of Dr. Robert H. Peterson, passed away on Tuesday, February 23.
Mrs. Peterson and her family moved to San Antonio, FL, in 1968 from Fargo, ND, when her husband became head of the Science and Math Division at Saint Leo College.
She is survived by her eight children—John Peterson of Juneau, AK, and an instructor for the Center for Online Learning; Barbara (Peterson) Ervin ’72 of St. Petersburg, FL; Tom Peterson ’78 of Dade City, FL; William Peterson ’74 of Nampa, ID; Mary (Peterson) Hummerick ’77 of Titusville, FL; Eileen (Peterson) Braziel ’81 of Santa Fe, NM; Robert G. A memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 5, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mrs. Peterson will be laid to rest with her husband at Garden of Memory Cemetery in San Antonio at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Dr. Robert H. Peterson Scholarship Fund at Saint Leo University. Please keep the Peterson family in your thoughts and prayers.
