Notice of new IRS Form 1095 – Information update

The IRS has provided an extension until March 31 for employers to furnish the new form 1095 to employees. Due to this change, the IRS Form 1095 will NOT be required for filing taxes for tax year 2015. Per the recommendation of the IRS, when you receive your Form 1095 for your Saint Leo University health insurance coverage, save it with your tax records as a reference item. Employees will NOT be required to complete an amendment to their tax return once the 1095 form is received. This notice pertains only to tax year 2015. Should any further updates be made we will notify employees accordingly.
