Matuszczak, Rampf claim CoSIDA Academic All-America honors
Saint Leo senior cross country/track runner Rafal Matuszczak and junior cross country/track runner Colett Rampf were each named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division II XC/track & field Academic All-America teams, announced Thursday. Matuszczak was a First Team selection, while Rampf was a Second Team honoree.

Gendron named Division II PING All-American
Saint Leo senior men’s golfer Ryan Gendron was tabbed as a 2017 PING/Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-American on June 19, the third time in his career he was earned the accolade. Read the complete release
Saint Leo swim teams receive academic honors
Saint Leo men’s and women’s swimming each received team Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA), while two men’s swimmers – Hunter Bains and Milosz Mikicin – were tabbed as individual Scholar All-Americans by the organization.
Pauwels recognized as D-II leader in shooting percentage
Saint Leo junior Kyle Pauwels was recognized by the NCAA as an individual statistical champion in men’s lacrosse after finishing the season as the Division II individual leader in shooting percentage. As a team, Saint Leo men’s lacrosse led the nation with a .378 shooting percentage. Read the complete release
Baker steps down as Saint Leo head women’s golf coach
Tommy Baker, who guided Saint Leo women’s golf to NCAA Super Regional berths in each of his four seasons at the helm, has stepped down as the Lions head coach to accept a position at Colorado State University. Saint Leo women’s golf was represented at the NCAA national championship during three of Baker’s four seasons, including a Fourth Place team finish in 2016 and Marie Coors’ individual national title in 2017.
