Registration underway for Spirit of Saint Leo
Registration is now underway for the 15th Annual Spirit of Saint Leo Golf Tournament, which will take place Monday, April 11, at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club South Course. This four-person scramble brings together alumni, former teammates, and friends of Saint Leo Athletics to support the nearly 350 student-athletes who wear the Green and Gold. Saint Leo men’s teams sit atop SSC Mayors’ Cup standings
With the fall and winter seasons completed, Saint Leo’s men’s sports teams are leading the way in the race for the Sunshine State Conference 2015-16 Men’s Mayors’ Cup, while the women are fourth. Read the complete release.
Dewberry tabbed for NABC regional honors
Saint Leo junior guard Marcus Dewberry was named an All-South Region selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, when that group announced its all-region teams. Read the complete release.
The weekly honor roll for Saint Leo spring athletes continues…
Multiple Saint Leo student-athletes were again the recipients of conference and national honors, as the Lions spring teams continue to play at the high level on the national stage.
The full list:
– Will Cothron and Dave Moore earned SSC Men’s Lacrosse Specialist and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
– Baseball’s Alex Mata was named SSC Player of the Week.
– Softball’s Alana Tabel was tabbed for SSC Pitcher of the Week honors.
– Later in the week, Moore was named National Defensive Player of the Week by the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
