Saint Leo earns 2022-23 SSC Mayors’ Cup for men’s division

For the fourth time since 2015-16, The Saint Leo men’s athletic programs have brought home the 2022-23 Sunshine State Conference Mayors’ Cup for the men’s division. The Saint Leo women came in sixth, just a half point behind Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

“As an athletic department, we are extremely proud to claim the men’s [Mayor’s] Cup for 2022-2023,” said Vice President of Athletics Francis X. Reidy. “Despite some challenges on campus this spring, our coaches and student-athletes remain committed and focused. We take great pride in having a well-balanced, competitive athletic program and this accomplishment is a testament to that philosophy.”

Saint Leo amassed 51 points across eight conference sports to win the men’s award outright and beat the field by six points. Along with earning the outright title in 2015-16, the Lions also won outright in 2013-14 and shared the cup with Florida Southern in 2012-13.
