University Ministry welcoming new students at retreat August 28-29

Faculty and staff are asked to invite new students to attend University Ministry’s Freshman and New Student Retreat on Saturday, August 28, and Sunday, August 29, prior to the beginning of Fall Semester 2021. This retreat, hosted by the University Ministry team and the University Ministry Student Leaders, will help ease students’ transition to college. 

The retreat will be at the Lakewood Retreat Center, 25458 Dan Brown Hill Road, Brooksville, FL 34602. Cost is $10.

Since new students will move to campus on Saturday, August 28, those who sign up to attend the retreat will receive an early move-in date of Friday, August 27. Retreat participants will leave Saint Leo’s campus at 10 a.m., August 28, and arrive back at noon on August 29.

This two-day retreat will allow for a strong community to be built by freshman meeting other freshmen as well as getting to know the University Ministry team and student leaders. The goal is to help students meets new friends, grow in their faith through prayer and the sacraments, and enjoy some activities in the beautiful outdoors of Florida!

There are limited openings and the retreat is first come, first served. The deadline for students to register is Monday, August 9.
