Savannah Center partnering with Feed the Hungry to provide Thanksgiving meals

Saint Leo University’s Savannah Education Center and Savannah Feed the Hungry are partnering this year to provide some deserving families with a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Thanksgiving is a holiday for spending quality time with family while making lasting memories. But for many this year, the pandemic has brought economic and other hardships, and they will not be able to afford a family dinner.

To assist those in the community, Saint Leo and Feeding the Hungry will feed 10 families this Thanksgiving. Employees may encourage friends and colleagues in the Savannah area who may know of a deserving family to email savannah@saintleo.edu with the following information about the family:

  • Family name
  • Contact information
  • Why they are deserving

They should include Savannah Thanksgiving Meal in the subject line of the email, and it must be submitted by Monday, November 16.

Families will be selected by the Saint Leo University staff and the Savannah Feed the Hungry team. Selected families will be notified on Wednesday, November 18, with pickup instructions.

Saint Leo University’s Savannah Education Center has served the community for 45 years, and celebrates the university’s core value of “community” by giving back to those living and working in the Savannah area. For more information, call (912) 352-8331 or email savannah@saintleo.edu.
