0Alumna speaks during industry webinar on digital skills
For the next session of its Leaders in the Industry webinar series, Career Services welcomes Erin Head ’11, who earned her MBA with a specialization in health care management from Saint Leo. Head is now a senior health care consultant in Titusville, FL, for Iron Mountain Inc., a major corporation in the field of information storage and information management services for the business sector.
Head will speak Thursday, November 12, at 6 p.m., ET. Her topic is the importance of technology. Her employer, Iron Mountain, uses technology to help clients store and manage their records, and even runs data centers and cloud services for client companies.
Career Services asks that faculty encourage students interested in any business sector to attend. Employers from all fields are now seeking digital competencies from job candidates. Digital competencies include being able to leverage existing technologies ethically and efficiently to solve problems, complete tasks, and accomplish goals. They also include the ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies.
Head holds many technology certifications, earned over the a 15-year career in health information management, medical staff credentialing, and quality resource management in hospitals and physician office settings.
