0Give back, give thanks by donating to Thanksgiving food drive
True to Saint Leo’s core value of community and in the spirit of giving, the LEAD Scholars Program in conjunction with the Campus Activities Board and the Office of Community Engagement is holding a Thanksgiving food drive at University Campus.
Employees’ help is needed! Food donations will offer support to needy families during this holiday season. Together, the Saint Leo community can make a difference. All items will be donated to Feeding Tampa Bay.
Requested items are: rice; pasta; canned/packaged meat; canned/packaged fruit; soup; stew; boxed meals; rice and beans mixes; 100 percent fruit juice; peanut butter; and cereal (hot or cold).
Donation boxes are in the Dining Hall; Student Activities Building; Marmion/Snyder Hall; and Benedict’s Coffeehouse.
In addition, as part of the Veterans Day of Service on Wednesday, November 11, donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the Kirk Hall Green. To receive service hours, food must be donated on Veterans Day (three cans = 1 hour). Volunteers who donate can confirm their attendance (donations) the day of the event by clicking this link and entering in R94G3M4 as the passcode.
The Thanksgiving food drive runs now through Wednesday, November 18. For more information, contact Maura Williams at maura.williams@email.saintleo.edu or Brandee Greaves at brandee.greaves@saintleo.edu.
