0Leaders in the Industry webinar to focus on global fluency
Career Services will host the next installment in its Leaders in the Industry webinar series, which will feature alumna Tonya Moore ‘96, campus dean at Strayer University in Atlanta, GA. Moore will speak at 4 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, about global fluency.
Moore has more than 20 years combined experience in academics, government, and corporate America. She is also a U.S. Army veteran, a breast cancer survivor, a proud member of the LGBTQ community, and the co-chair of Strategic Education Inc.’s CEO Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Moore’s educational path began with a business administration degree from Saint Leo University in 1996, and led to earning a Doctorate in Business Administration from Argosy University in 2006.
Moore will present to the Saint Leo community on the topic of global fluency. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) identifies global fluency as one of eight career competencies employers require in job candidates. Global/intercultural fluency is defined as the ability to value, respect, and learn from diverse cultures, races, ages, genders, sexual orientations, and religions. Moore will share her own story, as well as her expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and life. She will also provide guidance to help participants find ways to improve their own global fluency.
