0Graduate human services administration program to host Making the Connection webinar
Saint Leo University and The Centers are presenting Making the Connection from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 25, via Zoom. This virtual seminar will bring together leaders in the community to discuss essential components of crisis management, to include current experiences with COVID-19, to provide practical applications to treatment engagement during a crisis and to start the discussion on making the shift from trauma-informed to trauma healing and resiliency.
The graduate human services administration program is hosting this event, and the theme is Managing Treatment Engagement in a Crisis.
Presenters include: Dr. Bernice Pescosolido, distinguished professor of sociology and director of the Indiana Consortium for Mental Health Services Research at Indiana University; Dr. Diane Scotland-Coogan, assistant professor in Saint Leo’s graduate social work program, and executive director of HEAT Factory, which assists veterans and first responders with post-traumatic stress disorder; Steve Blank COO, The Centers (locations in Ocala and Lecanto, FL) ; Jessica Hames, executive director of Gainesville Peer Respite (Gainesville, FL).
