0Encourage students to apply for Lions Together grant by June 10
The Lions Together Fund for Students was established to assist currently enrolled Saint Leo University students who, due to the pandemic, are struggling with living expenses and/or university expenses. To qualify for support, students must have been enrolled during Spring Semester 2020 and must be enrolled for Summer 2020, Fall 2020, or have the documented intention of enrolling for Fall Semester 2020 once a registration-hold is lifted. Students who are preliminarily awarded a Lions Together Fund grant will have their account assessed by Student Financial Services to ensure that the grant will not adversely affect the student’s aid.
Students must submit the following information and documentation by June 10 to Dr. Jen Shaw, vice president of Student Affairs, at jen.shaw@saintleo.edu for consideration. All completed applications will be reviewed by a university committee. Students’ information will be kept confidential under applicable laws. Students will be notified at their university email address of their award status and those who receive awards will be expected to write a thank-you letter that may be anonymously shared with the generous donors who have made this funding possible.
In addition to the Lions Together Fund, there are many other resources available to assist students in distress. Please email studentaffairs@saintleo.edu for assistance.
Application Information for the Lions Together Fund: email by June 10 to jen.shaw@saintleo.edu for review by the Fund Committee.
