Susan Martin named associate vice president of Human Resources

Effective March 2, Susan Martin, a longtime leader in Human Resources and a Saint Leo University alumna, will serve as the new associate vice president of Human Resources.

Martin brings more than a decade of experience working in human resources to the position. She joined the Saint Leo Human Resources team in 2014 and worked in a variety of positions—from compensation and recruitment, to serving as a business partner. In her most recent role, Martin was executive director of Human Resources and served as interim associate vice president of Human Resources for a year and half.

During her time in these roles, Martin worked to implement strategic goals and development plans for the growth and succession of the department and assisted in the implementation of Workday programs, tools, and processes designed to improve management, employee performance, engagement, and business results, among other efforts. Prior to Saint Leo, Martin served as director of human resources and accounting at FA Solutions.

As associate vice president of Human Resources, Martin will oversee the teams responsible for university-wide recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, benefits administration, and employee wellness and training programs.

Martin earned both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Saint Leo University. For her bachelor’s degree, she was a dual major in sociology and liberal studies. Her master’s degree was in business administration with a specialization in human resource management.
