SSC Championship season gets started with cross country!
– Senior Colett Rampf finished first at Saturday’s Sunshine State Conference Cross Country Championship women’s 6K race, winning the individual title for a fourth straight year. She is the first four-time cross country champion – men or women – in SSC history. As a team, Saint Leo finished second. Read the complete release
– Sophomore Ronald Cheserek took first place honors at Saturday’s Sunshine State Conference Cross Country Championship men’s 8K race, marking the second year in a row he has won the individual crown. Cheserek’s victory was the fifth straight year a Saint Leo men’s cross country runner has won the SSC title. As a team, Saint Leo finished second. Read the complete release
Athletics Giving Challenge continues into week two
The Saint Leo Athletics Giving Challenge continues into week two, with the Lions Baseball Team leading in the overall total with $9,266 raised toward a team goal of $10,000. So far, more than $45,000 has been contributed to Saint Leo Athletics through the Giving Challenge, and we have three weeks to go!

Rampf claims record 16th SSC weekly honor in cross country
Saint Leo senior Colett Rampf earned Sunshine State Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year honors last Monday, following her performance in the USF Invitational. The award was the 16th SSC Runner of the Week award of her career, setting a new conference benchmark for most SSC weekly honors earned in a career. Read the complete release
Cheserek tabbed as SSC Men’s XC Runner of the Week
Saint Leo sophomore Ronald Cheserek was named the Sunshine State Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week last Monday, following his effort at the USF Invitational. The award was Cheserek’s fourth of the season and eighth of his career.
