O’Dette named Saint Leo’s new head baseball coach
Division II coaching veteran Rick O’Dette has been named Saint Leo’s new head baseball coach, charged with returning Saint Leo baseball to the upper echelon of the Sunshine State Conference. O’Dette, previously the head coach at Saint Joseph’s College of Indiana, has nearly 500 career victories and four NCAA Regional appearances to his credit over his 17-year stint with the Pumas. Coors receives SSC Female Athlete of the Year and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards
Women’s golf senior Marie Coors was tabbed as the Sunshine State Conference Female Athlete of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year – becoming the first Saint Leo student-athlete to win those two awards. She is the fourth SSC student-athlete to win both awards in the same year. Read the complete release
