Four Lions receive CoSIDA Academic All-District honors
Four Saint Leo student-athletes were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) At-Large Academic All-District teams for the athletic and academic achievements in 2016-17. The At-Large teams cover the Saint Leo sports of men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s and women’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s tennis. Named to the Men’s At-Large team was tennis’ Jaime Bueno, while Marie Coors (golf), Marine Beugre-Guyot (tennis), and Natalia Garriock (swimming) were selected for the Women’s At-Large team.

All-SSC teams announced in softball, men’s golf, and women’s golf
The Sunshine State Conference announced its post-season honors in three sports: softball, men’s golf, and women’s golf. Saint Leo student-athletes were well represented on the three teams, with several earning major awards:
– Saint Leo softball swept the SSC’s major awards with Kacie Kelly taking Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors, Stephanie Adkins getting the nod for Pitcher of the Year, and Erin Kinberger receiving the Coach of the Year award. Four Lions were named First Team All-SSC, while two athletes were named to the Second Team. Read the complete release

All-South Region honors start to pour in for Spring athletes
The selection of the various All-South Region teams has begun in the Spring sports, and Saint Leo student-athletes are already receiving honors:
– Softball’s Stephanie Adkins and Kacie Kelly were named to the NFCA All-South Region team. Read the complete release

– Men’s tennis players Jaime Bueno and Thomas Grinberg and women’s tennis athlete Marine Beugre-Guyot received South Region honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Read the complete release
Men’s and women’s golf teams earn individual qualifiers for NCAA national championships
Men’s golfer Ryan Gendron and women’s golfer Marie Coors each earned individual qualifiers to their respective NCAA national championships. Gendron will advance to his fourth straight NCAA championship in Kissimmee, FL, while Coors will be headed to Findlay, Ohio, to compete in her third NCAA national championship.
