Saint Leo to host NCAA Division II cross country national championship this Saturday
Saint Leo University will welcome nearly 80 schools from across the United States – as well as Simon Fraser University, the only NCAA member institution from Canada – as it hosts the NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships this Saturday, November 19. The men’s 10K championship will start at 8:30 a.m., followed by the women’s 6K championship at 9:45 a.m. Both races will take place at The Abbey Course, across State Road 52 from Saint Leo’s University Campus. Visit the championship website.
Saint Leo Athletics still has a critical need for volunteers to assist with hosting the championships, particularly as course marshals on Saturday morning. Course marshals line the route at various points and help guide runners in the right direction. If you can assist, please contact Carrie Fidurko at carrie.fidurko@saintleo.edu or at (352) 588-7327.
