Coors claims medalist honors at SSC Women’s Golf Championship
Saint Leo junior Marie Coors won medalist (top individual) honors for the second time in her career at the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Women’s Golf Championship, which concluded last Tuesday at Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne in Miami, FL. Coors previously won the award in 2014 as a freshman.
As a team, the Lions finished third in the SSC championship, and await their post-season fate to be announced Monday afternoon. Read the complete release.
Men’s golf earns bid to NCAA South/Southeast Regional
Saint Leo men’s golf will be making its fourth NCAA appearance after being one of 20 teams selected for the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional on May 2-4 at Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. The Lions, who were national semifinalists a year ago, will be trying to earn their way back to the NCAA national championship on May 17-21 in Denver, CO. Read the complete release.
Beugre-Guyot captures SSC weekly honor
Junior Marine Beugre-Guyot captured SSC Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week after going 3-0 in doubles and 2-0 in singles to help the Lions win the program’s first regular season championship. Read the complete release.
Adkins a finalist for D-II National Player of the Year
Junior pitcher Stephanie Adkins was named one of 25 finalists for the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division II Player of the Year. The list will be narrowed down to the top 10 on May 6. Read the complete release.
Saint Leo men’s golf places four on Jack Nicklaus Award semifinalist list
Four Saint Leo men’s golfers were among 30 named as semifinalists for the Division II Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Barbasol, which goes to the Division II National Player of the Year. Senior Liam Ainsworth, juniors Ryan Gendron and Joey Savoie, and freshman Hugo Bernard were selected to the list of 30, which will be pared down to a list of finalists on May 12. Summer camp and showcase dates announced for baseball and volleyball
Saint Leo offers a broad range of camps and clinics not just in the summer, but throughout the year! Volleyball and baseball both announced the dates of their upcoming camps and showcases:
– Baseball’s spring showcase will be coming up on May 7, 2016.
– Volleyball announced its full slate of camps for summer 2016.
– MBB head coach Vince Alexander announced the dates for his inaugural camps at Saint Leo.
– Women’s soccer will hold youth soccer camps in June and July for kids 4-15.
