University hosts “Look at Leo” events for admitted students

Throughout March and April, University Campus Admissions is hosting a series of events that will allow admitted students to experience campus firsthand. Called a “Look at Leo Admitted Students Day,” each event offers a safe and socially distanced insider’s look at our resort-style campus, student experience, academics, financial aid, and more. The end goal is to help admitted students confirm their decision to attend the university.

Traditionally, the university would host only a handful of large admitted student days each year. However, due to COVID-19, the team is taking precautions and hosting several smaller events.

Each admitted students day will include a welcome session and tour of campus. Admitted students will also be able to attend a resource fair where they can learn more about the university from staff in Career Services, Student Activities, Residence Life, Accessibility Services, Student Financial Services, University Ministry, and Student Success. Additionally, they’ll have the opportunity to meet with faculty, representing all four academic colleges at the fair.

Each day will consist of a morning and afternoon session. Students and their guests will be kept in small, socially distant groups throughout their visit and will be seated separately from all other visiting families during presentation times. The majority of this event will take place outdoors, and any indoor time will take place in large, open rooms with visiting groups spaced apart from one another.

Already the team has hosted two admitted students days. Faculty and staff should note the following dates for future events. On these days, please be extra mindful of visitors on campus and extend them a warm Saint Leo University welcome.
