Marietta Education Center hosting veterans’ career expo Wednesday

Faculty and staff are asked to encourage students and alumni to attend a veterans’ career expo on Wednesday, March 29, hosted at the Saint Leo University Marietta Education Center, 1395 S. Marietta Parkway, Building 300, Marietta, GA 30067. There will be about 20 employers recruiting to fill several jobs. The expo is co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Cobb-Cherokee Career Center and the Saint Leo University Marietta Education Center.

The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and GDOL staff will be on site to assist applicants.

Employers and organizations registered to participate in the expo include: Atlanta Police Department; Bank of America; CarMax; Cobb County Police Department; CryoLife; DeKalb County Fleet Management; DeKalb Fire and Rescue; Enterprise; Federal Board of Parole and Customs; Fidelity; G4S; Georgia Department of Community Supervision; Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice; Georgia Department of Public Safety; Georgia Military Women; Hire Heroes USA: Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority; and STAFF RXX. Additional employers and organizations are expected to register.

The expo is open to the public. Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
