0Institutional Review Board introduces new forms, resources
The Saint Leo University IRB (Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects) is charged with protecting the rights and safety of participants in biomedical, social, and behavioral research. At Saint Leo University, research projects that involve human subjects and that may pose some level of risk to the participants must be run past the IRB for guidance and approval.
Recently, the IRB has developed some new forms and resources to help those conducting research. The new forms and resources include the following:
- Updated IRB application (dated January 2020)
- Updated consent forms
- Training videos for faculty and students, including doctoral faculty and students
- PowerPoint slides for training
