Student applications for the 2023 commencement season are now open
Applications for the 2023 commencement ceremony are now available. Saint Leo University commencement will begin with the Tampa, FL, ceremony on May 12 and 13, 2023, followed by the Savannah, GA, ceremony on June 9, 2023. A completed application is required to participate in a commencement ceremony.
To be eligible to participate, master’s, bachelor’s, or associate degree students must:
- Complete your degree requirements by the end of Spring 2023 Semester, or
- Have no more than two classes remaining at the end of Spring 2023, which will be completed during the Summer 2023 Semester.
Doctoral students must have all program requirements satisfied, including a successful dissertation defense by April 7, 2023.
Below is a list of current commencement ceremony locations and dates:
- Tampa, Florida – May 12 & 13, 2023

- Savannah, Georgia – June 9, 2023

- Application deadline March 31, 2023
The Florida commencement events and ceremony will be held at University Campus and the Florida State Fairgrounds-Expo Hall in Tampa on May 12 & 13, 2023 (the registration deadline is Wednesday, January 25, 2023). Details for the Saint Leo Under the Stars, Baccalaureate Mass, and Doctoral Hooding events will be available closer to the ceremony date.
The Savannah Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Johnny Mercer Theatre in Savannah on June 9, 2023. The registration deadline for the Savannah ceremony is Friday, March 31, 2023. Contact your education center or the Savannah Center directly (savannah@saintleo.edu) should you have any questions regarding this ceremony.
Registrations will be individually reviewed. Those who satisfy the eligibility requirements to participate in the commencement ceremony will receive an approval confirmation email in February.
