Channelside Community Outreach Committee donates food, toys

For its end-of-year outreach event, the Channelside Community Outreach Committee at the Tampa  Student Support Center partnered with Metropolitan Ministries for a food and toy drive.

This year, Metropolitan Ministries faced food shortages prior to Thanksgiving. The Enrollment Counseling and Student Advising departments worked together to raise approximately $800 in toys and collect 320 pounds of food. The Community Outreach Committee is grateful for the generous donations from our teams and for how quickly everyone came together to make this drive a success.

The Community Outreach Committee has partnered with Metropolitan Ministries several times in previous years. Metropolitan Ministries serves over 26,000 families in the Tampa Bay area.
