0Soccer program, camps for ‘little,’ ‘young’ Lions scheduled for summer
Calling all soccer players! Saint Leo is holding a Saturday-only summer program as well as soccer summer camps for youths beginning in June.
The Little Lions Soccer Program is designed to help athletes improve their overall skill development.
The seven-week program is open to boys and girls and is divided into three developmental groups: Cougars (4 – 5 years old); Pumas (6 – 7 years old); Panthers (8 – 10 years old).
The tentative schedule is 9 – 9:45 a.m.: Cougars; 10 – 10:45 a.m.: Pumas; and 11 – 11:45 a.m.: Panthers. The start date is Saturday, June 10, at University Campus.
Admission is $99 for the program featuring professional coaching staff, program T-shirt, and an award ceremony. Participants are asked to bring water, soccer shoes, ball, and sunscreen.

The Young Lions Camp is a half-day or full-day, weeklong program teaching soccer fundamentals in a fun, safe environment. This camp is for boys and girls ages 4 to 14 and will take place 9 – 11:30 a.m., and 1 – 4 p.m. Before-camp care is available at 7:30 a.m. and after-camp care is available until 5 p.m. Two sessions of Young Lions Camp will be held: June 5 – 9 and July 31 – August 4.
Cost for the Young Lions Camps is $150 for half day and $250 for the full day.
The full-day campers will have lunch in the on-campus Dining Hall on Monday and Friday, and lunch will be catered for the other days for those who wish to purchase lunch during the camp. Campers also are welcome to bring packed lunches.
