Join in nightly Lenten Mission, March 27-30 at Abbey Church

The Benedictine monks of Saint Leo Abbey, along with Saint Leo faculty from the Department of Philosophy, Theology, and Religion will host a Lenten Mission nightly this week, March 27 – March 30. A Lenten Mission sets aside a time to pray, meditate, and reflect as a community. It also is a time for renewal of our relationship with God and each other.

Join Abbot Issac Camacho, OSB; Father Lucius Amarillas, OSB; Lucas Nocera, interim director of University Ministry; and Dr. Stephen Okey, associate professor of theology; as they lead the meditations and lessons.

The Lenten Mission will take place at 7 p.m., Monday, March 27, through Thursday, March 30, in the Saint Leo Abbey Church.

In addition, a Lenten penance service will be hosted by the monks and University Ministry at 7 p.m., Monday, April 3, in the Abbey Church. There will be four to five priests available to hear confession. Everyone is invited to gather to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation.
