Center for Research to conduct grants webinar series

The Center for Research and Hanover Research will host a series of three grants webinars beginning Wednesday, February 1.

Leigh Fanning, grants consultant, Hanover Research will be the presenter.

Introduction to Grantseeking
Wednesday, February 1: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Zoom Link
This webinar will provide an overview of fundamentals related to faculty grantseeking. Join this session if you’re curious to learn more about how the grant application and award process works, how to get started in identifying and evaluating potential grant funders, and the grants lifecycle.

Laying the Groundwork
Wednesday, February 15: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Zoom Link
This session will get into how you can position your research or your program in a way that will be most appealing to funders. Thinking about how your work fills a gap in your field, and how to
articulate that to funders in a way that responds to their priorities, is a key early step in preparing a competitive grant proposal.

Prospecting
Wednesday, March 1: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Zoom Link
Join for an overview of resources and tools to help you find the right funding prospects for your work. This session will provide an overview of where to look for, and how to evaluate, potential funders.


Leigh brings over 20 years of experience in program consultation and grants administration, with expertise in securing funding from a diverse representation of government agencies and private foundations. Her background in stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, and sustainability planning supports clients through all stages of the proposal development process. Leigh is a peer reviewer for federal grant competitions and has served as lecturer faculty for the School of Public Affairs within the University of Colorado system.
