In Memoriam — Ronald John Ingersoll

The Saint Leo community mourns the loss of Ronald John Ingersoll, 86, father of Paige Ramsey-Hamacher, executive director of the Center for Global Engagement, who passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Mae Ingersoll; his daughters, Paige Marie Ramsey-Hamacher and Krista Lee Ramsey; and his granddaughter, Kylie Maerie Hamacher ’22.

He earned his master’s and doctoral degrees from Cornell University in physical biology, and taught in the Science Department at Thiel College in Greenville, PA. He began working in the Admissions area while at Thiel, and that is where his love of enrollment management began. Dr. Ingersoll was one of the pioneers in the discipline, models, and practice of strategic enrollment management in higher education and consulting firms across the United States.
