Congratulate Gamma Upsilon on its 30th anniversary

Saint Leo University’s Gamma Upsilon sorority is celebrating its 30th anniversary. This sorority was founded on December 3, 1992, by 15 students, now alumni. Members gathered during the weekend to celebrate this achievement with a 5K and a yacht gala in Tampa.

The chapter focuses on community stewardship, loyalty, and dignity. Its motto is “Women enriched through lifelong friendships.”

Gamma Upsilon has been a leading sorority in academics and community service for several semesters. “We are proud of the chapter’s growth,” said Brandee Greaves, assistant director of Greek Life and Community Service.

“Founding and sustaining a local chapter is no easy task,” Greaves added. While many sororities have national or regional organizations and headquarters that provide support for individual chapters, Gamma Upsilon relies on alumni and university support.

Congratulations to Gamma Upsilon and happy 30th Founders’ Day!
