First mini-residency for creative writing is coming on January 6 and 7

The College of Arts and Sciences and Department of Creative Writing, under the interim directorship of Dr. Anne Barngrover, will hold its first mini-residency on Friday, January 6, and Saturday, January 7, 2023, at University Campus or via Zoom.

The residency is aimed at providing learning opportunities for students in our program, but it will be organized very much like the Sandhill Retreat and is open to the public and free! The mini-residency will give attendees the opportunity to meet current students, faculty, and alumni.

There will be interactive discussions with writing prompts, an open mic, a faculty reading, a book signing, and opportunities to bond with members of Saint Leo’s supportive, close-knit creative writing community.

If you’d like to join the program, please RSVP by Thursday, December 15, to Barngrover, at anne.barngrover@saintleo.edu.

Contact Barngrover or Gianna Russo at gianna.russo@saintleo.edu with any questions about the mini-residency or Master of Arts in creative writing program.
