Deadline extended to December 16—Proposals wanted for Employee Development Day topics

Faculty and staff are invited to submit proposals for Employee Development Day, to be held online February 8, 2023.

Employee Development Day is a new event at Saint Leo University that is dedicated to the professional development of all university workers. Whether you are a new hire or are celebrating your 25th work anniversary, professional development is imperative. By engaging in professional development opportunities, you will expand your knowledge base, boost your confidence, keep current on industry trends, and make connections with colleagues.

The theme of the inaugural event is “cultivating community.” During this time of transformation, both at Saint Leo University and in higher education, it is the perfect time to come together with a common sense of purpose. Through Employee Development Day, we will be able to work together, share ideas, and grow personally and professionally.

Proposal Requirements
The event organizers invite proposals on all topics related to this year’s theme, “cultivating community.” Proposals should generally focus on topics related to professional development and wellness in the workplace. Please submit a presentation, workshop, or panel proposal of approximately 150 words. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, December 16, 2022. If you’re new to presenting, we encourage you to submit! If you have an idea that you want to discuss before submitting a proposal, you may indicate that on the proposal form, and the event organizers will schedule a meeting with you.

Employee Development Day is for all employees at every location, including remote workers. This includes full-time and part-time staff, faculty, adjunct instructors, and student-workers. Please keep the audience in mind when planning your proposal.
