Join in Indian Association for Students’ celebration of Diwali on October 24

Experience the diverse culture that makes up Saint Leo! Everyone is invited to the first event being organized and celebrated by the new Indian Association for Students on Monday, October 24. In partnership with the Intercultural Student Association, students, faculty, and staff are invited to the most-awaited festival of India—Diwali.

Diwali is a festival of lights and generally symbolizes a triumph of light over darkness. Saint Leo’s Diwali celebration is divided into three sections:

  • A henna art session will take place noon to 1 p.m. at the Student Activities Building Loggia.
  • Do-It-Yourself lantern-making will be held 3 – 4 p.m. at the Student Activities Building/Saint Jude Chapel clock towers.
  • Traditional rampwalk, cultural performances, food, music by a DJ, and more will take place 4 – 6:30 p.m., in the Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms in the Student Community Center with fireworks outside
