Lake City Center celebrates 25th anniversary with successful open house

On August 4, the Lake City Education Center celebrated its 25th anniversary with an open house and celebration.

The anniversary gathering included a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Lake City-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, light refreshments, tours, chances to win prizes, and more.

It was an opportunity to showcase Saint Leo, the center, and its 15 degree programs offered through the center through evening and online courses.

“We’re proud of our Saint Leo University faculty, staff, and students and the work of our alumni in helping build a wonderful community in Lake City and Columbia County,” said Lisa Burnham, assistant director of the Lake City Education Center. “And we’re happy to offer a great education at a convenient location within the Florida Gateway College campus and online.

Local newspaper, The Lake City Reporter, covered the event, and WCJB-TV aired a story and posted it online, to invite the community to join in the anniversary celebration. View it here .

Congratulations to the staff, faculty, students, and alumni of the Lake City Education Center on its 25th anniversary!
