Saint Leo sponsoring Tampa Riverfest 2022, May 6-7
Saint Leo University is one of the sponsors of this year’s Tampa Riverfest celebration, which makes its return to the Riverwalk area after a two-year hiatus because of the pandemic. The event is open to the public and spans the length of the Riverwalk including some parks, and features family friendly activities. It kicks off Friday, May 6, and continues through Saturday, May 7. The Tampa Riverwalk is a multi-use path that extends 2.6 miles from Armature Works to Sparkman Wharf.
Events run from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday. Friday’s big event is the Taste of the Riverwalk, and a new event is a colorful, illuminated Riverfest Lantern Parade on Saturday evening. There will be workshops for those wanting to create their own designs.
Along the Riverwalk, don’t forget to look for the banners with the Saint Leo logo!
