Saint Leo ‘Pride Ride’ scooters unveiled at University Campus

Saint Leo University was proud to unveil a new on-campus scooter program called Pride Ride on Tuesday, March 22. The new scooters will serve as a new tool for mobility at University Campus.

At Tuesday’s unveiling, Father Randall Meissen, university chaplain, blessed the scooters and those who may use them. In addition to University President Jeffrey Senese, Vice President of Student Affairs Jen Shaw, and Student Government Union President Quiwanaki Ramsey gave welcoming comments. The university community also enjoyed performances by the GoldRush Dance team, and snacks, including special items from food entrepreneurs Piperz Salsa and Just a Taste by Glenna from the Pasco Economic Development Council (EDC) SMARTStart program.

Vice President of Student Affairs Jen Shaw had this to say about the new scooters, “This program began because of our students, and we are happy we could make it happen!”
