Join Saint Leo’s nonpartisan Why Vote? Campaign, register new voters

The Social Justice Committee and the Undergraduate Social Work Department are proud to launch the Why Vote? Campaign in partnership with the Voting Is Social Work organization. This nonpartisan voting campaign integrates knowledge and tools to raise voting awareness and increase voter registration within the Saint Leo University community.

Voting is a core principle of civic engagement and calls for meaningful participation in decision-making for all people. Communities with a higher voter turnout often see their elected officials more involved in their district’s health, educational, and economic needs. To become a change agent, please consider joining faculty, staff, and students in organizing and participating in a nonpartisan voter registration drive the week of March 21.

To join Saint Leo University’s Why Vote? Campaign, please attend one of three information sessions (listed below) to learn how to register others and participate in the voting registration drive. In addition, information about the upcoming information sessions will be available noon to 4 p.m., Friday, February 18, and Tuesday, February 22, at the table in front of the Student Activities Building. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

If you have questions or need more information, contact the Why Vote? Campaign chairs, instructor Christina Cazanave at christina.cazanave@saintleo.edu, and student Christopher Feliciano at Christopher.felici@email.saintleoedu.
